Misato Katsuragi is the Chief of Operations at NERV. She is the one behind the scenes of the Eva battles. She is probly the only other person apart from Asuka, who keeps this anime from being to dark. She does some very funny things and she has many quirky antics. She took in Shinji to live with her and soon took in Asuka after that. Touji and Kensuke love Misato ^_^. She also has a warm water penguin named Pen-Pen.
