| Evangelion - Ryouji Kaji |
Kaji is the kind of character that brings flavor to a series. He is a scruffy, charismatic man who spends most of his time playing both sides for the girl he loves. He also has a thing for mellons. ^_^
Kaji was Misato Katsuragi's boyfriend in college and was also a friends with Ritsuko Akagi. Misato and Kaji had a very physical relationship, but in the end it didn't work out because of Misato's fears.
Kaji moved to Germany and spent time with the young eva pilot, Asuka Langley Soryu. Because of this he is reunited with Misato Katsuragi in Japan while bringing Adam to NERV Headquarters.
Kaji and Misato get back together and Kaji begins proving himself to her by using the information that he was achieved for the government to help Misato understand what NERV is doing behind her back.
It is this flaw that ends up to be his undoing. After completing his last assignment he is killed by NERV intelligence. If he had survived he would have said the words to Misato that he couldn't say 8 years before.
